Personality Development Centre
ERDC has been trying to set up institutional mechanisms which could act as a support system for entrepreneurs. Personality development centres in schools function as an institutional mechanism for providing a diverse range of services to students, including information on all aspects of entrepreneurship development, and provide an alternative to students' mindsets of creating jobs instead of seeking them. PDC Will be a Club/Cell created in your schools, to educate students and inculcate into them the desired traits and personality of an entrepreneur.
Objectives of PDC

To act as an institutional mechanism for providing various services including information on all aspects of enterprise building to students.

To provide an alternative to students' mind-set to create jobs instead of seeking one.

To provide exposure opportunities to students regarding various upcoming fields.

To create Entrepreneurial culture in the students and to promote the objectives of ERDC, including programme related to women and weaker sections of the society.

To foster better linkages between the Institution, Industries and R&D institutions in the region and other related organizations engaged in promoting Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) for time-to-time visits.

To catalyze and promote development of students’ personality desired for knowledge-based enterprises and promote entrepreneurial opportunities in the innovative areas.

To respond effectively to the emerging challenges and opportunities both at national and international level relating to SMEs and micro enterprises
Functions of PDC

To organize Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps, Entrepreneurship Development Programmes and Faculty Development Programmes in the institute for the benefit of faculty & students.

To develop and introduce a curriculum on Entrepreneurship Development at various levels.

To conduct research work and survey for identifying entrepreneurial opportunities in the local area.

To guide and assist students on various aspects such as preparing project reports, obtaining project approvals, loans and facilities from agencies of support systems for R & D, information on technologies, etc.

To organize guest lectures, TV & Radio talks, Seminars, etc. for promotion and growth of entrepreneurship.

To extend necessary guidance and expert services to the students opting volunteer/internships in obtaining approval and execution of their projects.

To act as an Information Centre on business opportunities, processes, technologies, market, etc. by creating and maintaining relevant databases.

To conduct skill development training programme leading to self/wage employment
