As a School

The new education policy of 2020 is designed in such a way that it will work on the progress of easing the learning experience for the students and will help them to adapt at least one skill before leaving school. It will work for the betterment of students as well as the education system. Thus, it is necessary to develop mechanisms so that academic institutions could focus their attention on entrepreneurship & self-employment in addition to their present mandate of churning out trained manpower. Entrepreneurship and rural development Centre, based on New Education Policy 2020, focus on entrepreneurship development at the school level.

The objective of the Entrepreneurship and Rural Development Centre is to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to start and run their own businesses, while also fostering an entrepreneurial mindset that can be advantageous in any career path.

Programs

Personality Development Cells

Personality development cells in schools function as an institutional mechanism for providing a diverse range of services to students, including information on all aspects of entrepreneurship development, and provide an alternative to students' mindsets of creating jobs instead of seeking them. To encourage better linkage between the region's institutions, industries, and R&D institutions, as well as other related organizations involved in promoting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) for periodic visits. PDC Will be a Club/Cell created in your schools, to educate students and inculcate into them the desired traits and personality of an entrepreneur

Recreational Trips/Camps

Recreational camps or tours are a unique type of program in which students from the school's personality development Cell organize a trip to a different location that includes both educational and recreational activities. The goal of these trips is to give students the opportunity to learn and have joy in a contemporary place. These camps combine planned activities with free time for students to explore and participate in social activities.

Ambassador Program

As Ambassador, school principals from various schools can connect the Entrepreneurship and Rural Development Centre. The selected Ambassador will represent and advocate for their schools to other schools, organizations, and the ERDC. School ambassadors will be in charge of developing a network for entrepreneurship development at the school level. Principal ambassadors will be appointed at the district, cluster, and state levels to ensure the efficient operation of Personality Development Centers and other programs. The Ambassador program's main goal is to create a community of school principals, administrators, and teachers who work with ERDC to promote entrepreneurship development.

Boot Camps

Entrepreneurship development boot camps provide students with an understanding of entrepreneurial options that are available to them but that they are unaware of. Bootcamps will bring together a significant number of aspiring young entrepreneurs, students, and professionals in one area. It provides an opportunity to work in groups and learn how to create a comprehensive solution to an opportunity for innovation. These Bootcamp will provide a glimpse into an entrepreneur's long journey, covering topics such as personality assessment, basic entrepreneurship, idea generation, business plan, legalities, funding, pitching, government schemes, and initiatives.
