Corporate Social Responsibility

To develop startups into enterprises, a dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem requires a constructive society and good capital inflows. Entrepreneurship and Rural Development Centre, in collaboration with corporates, aims to promote community organization as well as the development of start-ups and entrepreneurial hubs through effective private sector involvement.

Section 135 of the Companies Act of 2013, which lists permitted CSR activities, has recently been amended to include 'contributions or funds provided to technology incubators situated within academic institutions which are approved by the Central Government' as a CSR expenditure. Entrepreneurship and Rural Development Centre is a not-for-profit Section-8 Company situated at National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Chandigarh engaged in entrepreneurial activities and development of startups and incubators.

  • Education of school students from remote areas

  • Education of new entrepreneurs and those aspiring to be entrepreneurs
